• When we got to the penthouse, I was already feeling tired. Hands were already on deck setting up the baby’s room and I had to tell them what and what I wanted. The whole preparation was a little overwhelming. I’ll be a mother soon, and rather than the uncertainty I’d felt initially, I feel excited.
• I’d still not had time to think about all Slade had disclosed to me the night before, but somewhere at the back of my mind, I’d resolved to visit the pack which this night after a much needed rest.
