Chapter 9 Tears
- Zoella POV
- I’m in a real mess right now; I can’t believe I’m stuck with this guy for what feels like an eternity, and all he does is complain. This place is a nightmare—there’s no hotel in sight, and it’s eerily quiet; not a single person or car around, just this heavy silence. “You should get some sleep, you look tired,” he said, his voice raspy as he shifted a bit. What’s going on with him? One moment he’s furious with me, and the next he’s acting all calm and collected. The lodge he built isn’t exactly spacious, but we’re making do.
- “You do realize it’s 5 o’clock, right? 5 PM. And you’re telling me to sleep?” I plopped down next to him, but he didn’t say a word, which was so unlike him. The Zavion I met not long ago would have definitely shot back a snarky comment. “Hey, hey, are you okay?” I asked, placing my hand on his back, and he felt surprisingly warm. “Can you hear me?” I tried again, but when I attempted to help him up, I struggled since he was much bigger than I am.
