• We were sitting at the breakfast table when I caught Zavion's gaze fixed on me. I quickly looked away, but I could still sense his eyes lingering. It didn’t bother me that he had brought a girl home the night before; what really got under my skin was how unimpressive they were. I decided to wait until everyone had finished eating before I made my move. I had asked Izzy to meet me at the hospital around noon, and she surprised me by arriving early. As I glanced at Charlie's picture, I couldn't help but compare it to the girl standing right in front of me.
