Chapter 84 I’ll Prove It

• No matter how much Janice tried to comfort Denise, the young child wouldn't seem to stop crying. If anything, the child only cried harder than before. Daniel felt like his heart was about to shatter as he listened to Denise's wails. Janice gave Nelson a fierce glare, and Nelson immediately responded with an apologetic look. However, there was a smug look in his eyes that couldn’t be concealed.
• Janice took a deep breath before looking to meet Daniel's gaze. The man frowned a little when he realized that Janice was trying to say something with her eyes. "Denise," Janice said as she turned to her daughter. "I can prove Daddy isn't a fake. That evil uncle was just trying to make you cry."
• Denise finally stopped crying after that. However, her shoulders were still shaking from all the crying earlier, and her cheeks were stained with tears. "A-Are you serious?" she asked with a pout.
