Chapter 26 Venticinque

  • Daniel, the guy I met at Mount Solero, and his daughter, Jasmine, ended up becoming my tour guide. Daniel provided me with numerous tips and showed me worthwhile places to visit. It's refreshing to meet someone completely unfamiliar. Even Jasmine didn't hesitate to hold my hand. It was amusing how traveling alone prompted you to step out of your comfort zone and engage in activities you wouldn't normally pursue.
  • I accompanied them to Marina Grande this morning and promised to stay in touch. They would continue their journey to Rome, Florence, and Pisa and finally fly to London. Jasmine expressed her desire to see the Colosseum, and I asked her to send me a photo once they arrived. I shared everything about Zack with Daniel, which I have never done with someone I met in a foreign country. My conversation with Daniel broadened my perspective on accepting Zack's departure from an angle I didn't know existed. I even inquired whether he plans to remarry, to which Daniel responded that his focus was solely on Jasmine. Any woman who ended up with Daniel would be undoubtedly fortunate.
  • As their ferry departed from Marina Grande, I wandered around the harbor for a while, grabbed a coffee, and boarded a small boat to visit Grotta Azzura. I intentionally timed my visit to coincide with lunch so I could arrive at Il Riccio on time.
