Once I stepped out of the cab, I checked the time; it was 11:32 a.m. I heaved a deep sigh of relief. I’d rather be early than late. I had a lot on my plate, and I knew that Williams would be curious about how my journey with the bikers went yesterday. I breathed in and out before continuing to walk. I was just a little excited that I spent some good time with Jaden; we had a quick jog down the streets early in the morning, and I took him to the coffee store and then to the cake store so he could get his favorite chocolate cakes. That was the only way I could soothe his heart after I had been invisible for the last few days. Once he wakes up, I’m out, and by the time I come back, he’s often asleep.
