• My ringtone blared through, and my eyes stirred open. It was still seven in the morning. Who the hell would be calling another person this early? I assumed it must have been an emergency, so I reached for my phone. I grabbed it from the other end of the bed where I had dropped it last night. I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the sleep so I could see clearly. Once I did, I realized it was one of my security staff at the firm buzzing my phone this early. I let out a deep sigh before swiping up to answer the call.
