  • The thunderous roar his body made when it splintered the thick, bare tree seemed to echo endlessly in this ghostly corridor of trees now missing one of its companions. Without anything holding her up, Alexa gracelessly slid to the floor, shivering as the cool air brushed over her burning skin.
