Chapter 33 Frozen

• He couldn't believe his luck; the stupid rogue had escaped custody and had run off in the middle of the night. Even after all his warnings and threats of the consequences, the mutt would face if he did so, it were as if the dog had no respect for his life. How could they have let this happen? He knew that it wasn't their fault that the mutt had found a way to escape, but he couldn't help the worry that raged inside of him. He was as confused as the rest of the pack, it should not have been possible to escape from their prison.
• And yet somehow this backwater rogue had done the impossible. They had received word from his father, Aaron Black, the pack's Beta and temporary Alpha to retrieve the mutt, alive. Aiden could not understand what value the mutt had to the pack still breathing as his wolf just wanted to tear that bag of bones apart. But an order was an order and one he had to follow.
• With his best friend, Griffon, at his side, the two wolves raced through the perimeter searching for the mongrel's scent to track him down and bring him to justice. Well, not the justice that Aiden's wolf wanted but justice all the same. Some part inside of Aiden feared that the mutt went to finish what he had started, and another feared that his friend would discover the existence of the secret he had been keeping these past two weeks.
