Chapter 48 Wicked Intentions

• Two umber eyes leered at the mother and son duo as they paced back and forth from behind darkly tinted windows. The sleep pickup truck’s engine rumbled to a halt a little ways away from the one-story brick building the town called a sheriff's station. Irritation was evident on the man's pale face as he sneered at the two in front of him.
