- Laura sat on the couch, hissing from the pain of being shot on the leg. Ricardo used a napkin from the dining table, to tie the wound tightly stopping the bleeding.
- I stood there, frozen. Mr Davis went out of the sitting room to the balcony to watch Alex being taken away. Ricardo followed, helping Laura whose hands were around his neck as she leaped.
