Chapter 33
- Kael’s POV
- Zane snickered as we covered more tracks, but I could sense his growing irritation through the mind link. He was getting restless, his frustration leaking into my own thoughts as he kept cursing the rogues we had encountered on our way. The problem was worsening. Their numbers were increasing, spreading far and wide, and if left unchecked, it could lead to a full-blown crisis.
- I had tried—time without number—to curb the rogue infestations plaguing our lands, but no matter how many we eliminated, more seemed to rise from the shadows. If this continued, they would start intruding on our borders, and that was something I wouldn’t allow.
