• Kael’s POV
• I hummed in acknowledgment as my Beta, Zane, briefed me on the increasing threat of rogues at the border. Their persistence was becoming more than a minor nuisance, but my warriors had been holding their ground. Still, swift action needed to be taken before their audacity reached new heights. If they didn’t retreat soon, their defiance would force us to escalate our response.
• “The patrol teams are keeping them at bay for now, but we may need reinforcements if this goes on much longer,” Zane said, frustration evident in his voice.
