Chapter 106

  • Kael’s Pov
  • The ground trembled beneath my boots as we stormed into the clan. The cries, the howls, the clash of steel and claw, it all blended into one endless roar in my ears. My warriors tore through the enemy lines, but even they struggled as wolfsbane filled the air, choking lungs and burning skin. I shielded the younger ones as best as I could, but truth be told, I hardly felt the sting of the poison anymore. My blood boiled hotter than the flames consuming the outskirts of the camp, and my mind was focused on one thing alone, erasing this disturbance, wiping out every trace of betrayal.
  • The scent of blood was overwhelming. The whole clan was painted in red. My claws were drenched, my blade slick, and yet the rage in me did not subside. What cut deeper than any wound was the bitter truth, I was slaughtering my own people. My kin. Warriors who once swore loyalty to me, men and women who had once called me their king. But now… they were rogues. Twisted, corrupted shadows of themselves. And mercy? Mercy was a luxury I could not afford them.
