- “I’m glad you’re finally settling in, day by day,” Kira said, nudging me lightly as we walked through the stone corridors. “Look at you! A few more days, and you’ll be at it like the rest of us.”
- I forced a small smile, even though my stomach was tight with nerves. “That’s thoughtful of you, Kira. Honestly, I wouldn’t have gotten this far without you.”
