Chapter 2 Reality Vs Expectation
- Kayden stiffened as his heart skipped a beat, stopping in his tracks as he reached for the door when the scent hugged him, it wasn’t just a regular scent it was. Lavender, cherry blossoms and vanilla wood hugged his nostrils. A scent so divine and heavenly that he felt all his worries drift away, once he turned around to see where it came from he couldn’t believe his eyes.
- Body built like a Greek goddess, perfect long red hair that flowed like a river elegantly kissing her shoulders and last but not least her eyes her beauty emerald eye. “NO,” he thought to himself maybe it was just the alcohol playing tricks on him. His body moved before his mind could catch up, his feet carrying him to the stage. And then, as if drawn by an unseen force, he seized Alana by the waist and crashed his lips against hers in front of the stunned crowd. Well he didn’t need a fortune teller to tell him that that was his, his mate, his fated mate.
- His wolf howled and jumped around chanting “Mate! Mate! Mateeeeee! I freaking told you you’d find your soul mate here ha-ha.”
- He was locked in with the kiss, but was afraid he frightened her because she was so unresponsive and her body was stiff as wood. Followed by a slap that sent echoes that were accompanied with gasps from the crowd.
- “Are you out of your freaking drunk mind?” she questioned him anger written on her face.
- “Who do you think you are huh? Who gave you the right to touch and kiss me?”
- “I don’t care, you re mine, my mate. Slap me again………Slap me all you want that won’t change the fact that you’re mine,” he defied her in his deep husky voice.
- “I’m a stripper not an object for you to claim however you like.”
- Everyone around was reeling from shock, Zaide gave Zayne a signal and said, “C’mon guyssssss its part of the final act you know how Le Sinsation love to shake things up.” The drunk people nodded and laughed like mad men as they applauded the supposed act.
- But Zaide and Zayne were aware it wasn’t an act at all and needed to get Kayden down from the stage.
- Another drunken man stumbled onto the stage, his laughter slurred and unsettling. His glassy eyes roamed over Alana like she was a piece of meat, making Kayden’s wolf snarl in fury.
- “I want to be part of the act too,” the man grinned, his breath reeking of cheap whiskey as he reached out toward Alana. Before his filthy fingers could touch her, Kayden’s hand shot out, gripping the man’s wrist in a bone-crushing hold. A dangerous growl rumbled from deep within his chest—a warning, primal and deadly.
- The man, either too stupid or too drunk to sense the danger, grinned wider.
- “Oh c’mon, you can have that sexy slut to yourself we can take turns if you please I’m sure a threesome wouldn’t hurt.”
- Kayden’s blood boiled as he watched how the disgusting man drooled and licked his cracked ass lips while looking at Alana. His Alpha instincts kicked in and without wasting any time, everything went red. Kayden barely registered his own movements. One second, he was gripping the man’s wrist. The next, his fist slammed into the guy’s face with a sickening crack. The force sent the bastard flying across the room like a ragdoll.
- Glass shattered. Bottles and cups crashed to the floor as the man’s body landed hard against a table, splintering it into pieces. A chorus of gasps and shrieks erupted from the crowd, some drunk fools cheering like it was part of the act, while others scrambled away in fear.
- “KAYDEN!” his delta and Beta chorused through shrieks and screams that came from the crowd. The man groaned, his face bloody and contorted in pain. The sharp scent of alcohol mixed with iron filled the air.
- Alana’s panicked voice cut through the chaos. “Security! Security!”
- “You asshole you scared her,” his wolf cussed at him.
- “Scared her? I was just trying to protect her didn’t you see how he looked at our mate?”
- Security came in flooding the room like ants.
- Each one ready to take him out but he resisted their orders.
- “I’m not living this place without my mate,” he protested. Zayne and Zaide tried their best to convince him to live but he was persistent in not living anywhere without Alana. Security lashed in left right and center all trying to contain him but he was too strong for them. Zaide and Zayne grabbed his arms, desperately trying to pull him back. “Kay, don’t do this! You’re making it worse!”
- But Kayden barely heard them. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, his eyes scanning the room.
- And then his heart stopped
