Chapter 35 Repercussions

• Antonio was the last to make his way downstairs, joining the family already gathered at the lunch table. As he settled into his seat and began eating, he looked around the table and asked, "Where is Bella? Giorgio, where’s your sister? She seems to be out a lot recently."
• Giorgio, barely pausing between bites of food, shrugged indifferently. "I don’t know, she’s a big girl. How should I know?"
• Aunt Luisa, sensing the tension, took control of the conversation. She turned to Lucia, the new housekeeper, and said, "Lucia, come, join us at the table. There's plenty for everyone."
