Chapter 32 Active Defenses
- At the police precinct, Inspector Rossi sat at his desk, staring down at the scattered reports in front of him. His mind raced through the latest events; the recent underground meeting, and the ever-elusive criminal families running rampant through Naples. Detective D'Amato stood nearby, his arms crossed and his expression as grim as ever. They had been at this for hours, yet it felt like they were no closer to finding concrete evidence.
- Suddenly, the door burst open. Lucia, one of the detectives, hurried into the room, a folder clutched tightly in her hands. “Inspector, D’Amato, you’re going to want to see this,” she said breathlessly, tossing the file onto the table.
- Rossi raised an eyebrow and flipped open the folder. His eyes widened as he saw the image on the security footage. A man, face slightly blurred but unmistakable, had been caught on camera. It was him.
