• I placed Lusia on the bed and covered her with sheets. I was worried about her. What could have triggered that? For a moment it looked like she was about to shapeshift into her werewolf. That had been scarier than I imagined. But that was something a bit more. She had been in so much pain. Shapeshifting wasn’t supposed to hurt the way that it did with her. It was like she wasn’t in control of herself.
• Florence had told me that she had fixed her. But that did look like the case. There was still a lot going on with her. I could tell that she wasn’t in control of her wolf. It was the other way around. And if something wasn’t done soon, her wolf was going to consume her. My wolf stirred inside me in concurrence. We had to look for a way to help her this time.
