• My mind was in a whir as everything rushed through my thoughts all at once. It was so good to see Bethany. Keres also took me to see Jacob. When he saw me, he cried his eyes out while he held me tightly. Jerry's people seemed to be everywhere, so that, too, wasn't a long visit, but it was enough to let him know I was fine, and we put everything under the bridge.
• Seeing that I was cursed to be reunited with that devil, I had to rectify and amend a few things. As guessed, Bethany had told the whole world about our exchange in the cubicle. Keres advised me to tell my friends that everything that happened was of Michael's design.
