• It has been nearly seven weeks, and Laura is still missing. I've exhausted all my resources to find her, but nothing! Whichever fucker kidnapped her was a master at covering his or her tracks. Why, though? Who would want to hurt Laura? She had no one except Bethany and Jacob. Even her ex didn’t bat an eyelid when I told him she had been abducted.
• That arsehole has been scarce as well; I saw him a few times at clubs and my other restaurants, messing around with women, including my staff, and then one day he simply vanished. Did he have something to do with Laura's disappearance? No, he would not have been able to cover up his scent so masterfully. It was definitely a non-human who preyed on my baby.
