Chapter 16 Divine Favour

  • I stood protectively in front of Bethany as I saw him glaring at her. “Bethany, go inside and call the police,” I commanded in a stern tone, but gentle enough not to distress her further. She was about to say something, but I already knew who this bastard was. “Now!” I snapped, and she finally listened and started running towards the bistro.
  • This fucker was a lone wolf, and it looks like he did not bother to conceal his identity. He meant business, ready to kill anything that moved, and I can’t let Bethany get entangled in this fantasy shit. He was about to block her off, but I shouted, “Leave her alone, she is just an innocent bystander, your business is with me, you fucking mutt!”
  • He looked at me somewhat deranged, giving Bethany the chance to find refuge in the bistro. The fucker sniffed in my direction and his face started to shift. He released snarls of pure hatred intertwined with the sounds of crunching and grinding bones as he partly shifted.
