Chapter 20

  • Oliver heard the heavy raindrops knocking on the window. The room was dark, although he knew it must already be morning.  The scarce light and the small part of the sky, peeking from the tiny crease between the heavy curtains were gray. 
  • His hand was numb, for he must've fallen asleep in a strange position. Oliver's neck was stiff, and even though he was only in his nightshirt and pants,  he still felt unusually warm. 
  • Oliver realized he'd wrapped his hand around Callum, whose hand was still lying on top of his. He opened his eyes and saw Callum was already awake, the blue eyes idly tracing invisible patterns on the wall.
