Chapter 3 Homicide Case

  • When she heard Luo Tian's voice, she attempted to push away the man in front of her. But he pulled her back and devoured her vigorously. She was almost out of breath from his kiss.
  • The policeman couldn't bear to watch it anymore. He approached them and let out a cough to get their attention. “Are you Ms. Hua Shengan? Can you stop this for a while? There's a homicide case that requires your cooperation.”
  • The policeman was being polite just because of Xiao Chengjue. He wasn't sure whether the man she was kissing was Xiao Chengjue because he didn't know his appearance. But he didn't want to risk getting on the man's bad side.
  • All he knew was that he was on the tenth floor, which was Xiao Chengjue's private floor, so there was a high chance that this man could be him.
  • And that was exactly the reason why Hua Ranran and Luo Tian didn't dare to break them apart.
  • “When did she start hooking up with Xiao Chengjue?” Hua Ranran threw a glance at Luo Tian.
  • “How would I know?” he replied.
  • After their intense kissing, Hua Shengan somehow managed to push the man away. Her face was slightly reddened, and she suddenly felt nervous because she had never done this before.
  • But she went back to being indifferent when she faced those two bastards. “Homicide?” she questioned. “What homicide?”
  • The policeman handed her a document. “Mr. Liu of Tianyu Group was found unconscious in the room under your name. The cruise ship is nearing the dock. So please come with me, Ms. Hua.”
  • Hua Shengan took the document and scanned the information on it. There were details of her check-in time and personal information used for her room registration.
  • “I think you got the wrong person, officer.” She handed the document back to the policeman. “The room is indeed registered under my name, but my sister and her husband are the ones staying in it. Ever since I boarded this cruise ship, I've been staying with Mr. Xiao and did not return to the room at all. If you don't trust me, then feel free to check the surveillance footage. That would prove my alibi.”
  • But the surveillance camera had been destroyed by Hua Ranran and Luo Tian. Hence the policeman couldn't check it.
  • The policeman and Hua Ranran glanced at each other with a stunned expression. Then he turned his attention toward Xiao Chengjue who had been quietly standing behind Hua Shengan. “Mr. Xiao, is what she's saying true?”
  • Hua Shengan turned towards him. She was silently pleading for help with her eyes.
  • He looked at her before replying monotonously, “Didn't she ask you to go through the monitors? Why aren't you doing so? Can't believe policemen are this lazy.” This made the officer speechless.
  • Hua Shengan chuckled and turned to face the policeman again. “Officer, if you really wanna solve this case, then kindly listen to my suggestion. Consider my sister and her husband as the main suspects and investigate them. Maybe you'll find what you're looking for.”
  • “You f**king b****!” Hua Ranran shrieked as if someone was stepping on her toes. “Hua Shengan, not only did you kill someone, but you're also cheating on Luo Tian! Do you think you're worthy of his love? Now that shit has happened, you dare to put the blame on me? I'm telling you, there's nothing going on between me and him! I'm not that cheap like you! And you can't deny that you’re the one who killed Mr. Liu! Your fingerprints are everywhere in that room! Do you think Xiao Chengjue committing perjury can hide the fact that you're a murderer?”
  • “Is that so?” Hua Shengan smiled while crossing her arms. “Then let's go to the hospital and see if there's anything from Luo Tian in you. Do you have the guts to do so?”
  • “You!” Hua Ranran's face was red as a tomato. How could she say something shameful like this in front of Luo Tian? She could only stare at Hua Shengan in rage.
  • Luo Tian stepped forward and pulled Hua Ranran behind him. His eyes were cold as he retorted, “Hua Shengan, you've killed someone and cheated on me. But now you wanna blame it all on your sister?”
