Chapter 7 Fingerprint

  • “Yes. Although Ms. Hua is the legal person of Dingfeng and inherited all of the late Mr. Sun's properties, she still doesn't have that much knowledge about the company's operations because she just turned eighteen. Her legal guardian is Hua Fan, so most of the workers in the company are his people. He also occupies several mansions, which are used by his mistress and illegitimate daughter. The past few years had been tough for her.”
  • “Is Liu Ke dead?” Xiao Chengjue suddenly changed the subject while spinning the pen between his fingers.
  • “No. I asked the doctor who was with us to check on him and he managed to save Liu Ke. He's now in the ICU and is still unconscious. I already asked Chief Qin to deal with this. Liu Ke was stabbed with a lethal weapon in the back of his head in Ms. Hua's room. The worst part is, her fingerprints are all over the weapon.”
  • “Since he's not dead, please get the best doctor in the state to treat him. And tell the PR Department to continue working. Ask them to transmit the news about Hua Ranran snatching Hua Shengan's boyfriend.”
  • “As for the police, tell Qin Hao to come to me directly if he has any problems. If he dares to lay a finger on Hua Shengan, I will surely throw him into the South Indian Ocean to feed the sharks.”
  • Qian's mouth twitched as he nodded vigorously. “Noted, Boss.”
  • “Also, send someone to keep an eye on Hua Shengan. Report to me immediately if you notice any abnormal activities on her end.”
  • “Yes, Sir.”
  • Meanwhile, Hua Shengan stopped by a bank before going to Dingfeng. She used the connection that she had to get Luo Tian's bank records for the past six months and sorted out all of the information before submitting it to the court.
  • With Xiao Chengjue's influence, the court order came out almost immediately.
  • The evidence of Luo Tian receiving a large amount of money was conclusive. All of the bank accounts under his name with the amount of nearly nine million were closed down. Part of the bribes that he accepted was refunded, and a portion of the fine went to cover Dingfeng's loss.
  • The sun was shining particularly bright that afternoon.
  • Before her reincarnation, Hua Shengan had always been Hua Fan's puppet. She was a dummy CEO but a CEO no less. Even if she was merely a puppet to him, Hua Fan couldn't do anything with her grandpa's business without her.
  • From this moment on, she was definitely going to take back everything that belonged to her with the help of Xiao Chengjue.
  • As for those who hurt her before, she would reciprocate them the same way but a hundred times more.
  • When she was busy sorting out the files in her office, the door was suddenly kicked open, and an angry Luo Tian rushed in.
  • “Hua Shengan, what the hell did you do?!”
  • Hua Shengan leaned back on her chair, “Why are you barging in with that attitude?”
  • “You sued me for accepting bribes? And how did you get the court to freeze all my bank accounts so quickly?!” Luo Tian yelled furiously.
  • Hua Shengan blinked her eyes. “Why do you care about this? You were born to live off a woman anyway, so why don't you just let Hua Ranran take care of you? What's the point of you barking here?”
  • She approached the small bar at the corner of her office with a cup in hand. Then she took out a box of coffee beans for grinding. But Luo Tian plucked the box away from her hand and threw it on the ground.
  • “You're purposely messing with me, aren't you?” He held her chin and wished that he could just crush her jawbone.
  • “Yes. It's not that hard to guess, right?” she replied coldly and slapped his hand away. “You should've expected that this day would come when you were busy entertaining Hua Ranran under her skirt.”
  • “You dare to mess with me? Do you think the Huas will forgive you for that?”
  • “So what if they don't? Those people are just a bunch of dogs begging for food. Do you think I really care about them?”
  • With a scoff, Hua Shengan took out a new box of coffee beans and unwrapped them casually.
  • Luo Tian suddenly couldn't recognize the woman in front of him.
  • She was a gentle woman before boarding the cruise ship. What happened in between? Was it possible that his betrayal caused her to change drastically like this?
  • Does she… really have feelings for me?
