• Hyacinth thanked the maid who brought her to Isabella's room before knocking on the door. She didn't come down for dinner, which worried Hyacinth. She waited for Isabella to answer the door while wondering if she had done the right thing by coming here. It was around 9.30 p.m., and everyone had already retired to their rooms.
