• “Where are you taking me?” Keily asked, hurrying to keep pace with Dion’s brisk steps. She reached out to hold his hand, but flinched when Dion pulled his hand away—as if he didn’t want her to touch him. Keily was deeply hurt; this was the first time Dion had ever rejected her like this.
• “We’re going to talk on the rooftop, where no one will disturb us,” Dion replied, snapping Keily out of her thoughts.
• “What could be so important that you need to take me to the rooftop to make sure no one interrupts?”
