Chapter 60 My Sweetheart
- Jackson.
- I was not surprised when Kelsey gave an appropriate answer to the question Courtney had asked. Some of the men around me seemed surprised, but I couldn’t blame them since most of my previous women had not been the brightest bulbs in the shade. But then again, I had not addressed them as girlfriends. Ever since I had taken over the pack, Kelsey was the first woman I’d given that title. She deserved it.
- Unfortunately, she did not seem to see how great she was. She had an inferiority complex, and I had not noticed it clearly before. Now that I knew that she didn’t think much of herself, I was going to change that. She was a brilliant woman. Although she not been raised in the best circumstances, she read a lot and taught herself. A self-taught woman was better than those who had been spoon-fed knowledge, those who tried so hard to be smart. Knowing Courtney, I was sure she had hoped to embarrass Kelsey by asking that question. Instead, it ended up exposing just how brilliant and tactful Kelsey naturally was.
