• “What are we going to do about her?” I asked Jackson thirty minutes after he kicked out Francesca. I shuddered when I remembered the madness in the woman’s eyes. It was clear that she would never accept that Jackson wasn’t hers. I used to think she was just obsessed but it turned out she was also delusional. Something wasn’t right in that crazy brain of hers.
• Jackson poured the water into the glass and gave it to me before putting the jug back in the fridge. We were standing by the kitchen counter.
