- The world was burning, but all I saw was the crimson drop of blood tracing down Rhea’s neck.
- The grand courtyard of the Ravencroft Fortress had turned into a nightmare of smoke, ash, and blood. Orange flames roared from the upper rafters of the main keep, casting violent, dancing shadows across the cobblestones. Dozens of my vanguard warriors stood trapped between two fires: on one side, Vivienne’s elite rogue syndicate, their silver wolf masks gleaming in the inferno; on the other, the surviving members of the High Council, cowering against the outer walls like cornered rats.
