Chapter 9

• A few weeks passed in the blink of an eye, each day filled with it's own misery. Life as the Alpha's maid was draining, as the entire pack gave me a disgusting look each time I pass by. My mate, Damien was on a business trip, resuming his duty as the CEO of the Silvermoon corporation.
• With each maid despising me, I was given the most stressful job each day. However, I was soon to get used to it. With each passing day, I became thinner and extremely pale. Each time I was opportuned to check a mirror, tears would drop from my eyes, my heart aching from the unjust treatment I received from my mate. My wolf, leera became unresponsive as she was also wounded by our mate's attitude. If my heart could hurt this way, I wonder how she would feel.
• Moments later, I walked towards the maid quarters, surprised to find sapphire lashing out on the maids. Ever since our last encounter, the sight of sapphire frightened me, almost making my legs into jelly.
