Chapter 25 Twenty-five
- It's been a few days since I woke up, and I'm finally cleared to leave the hospital. I sit on the edge of the bed, dressed in clean clothes Ana brought yesterday—soft gray joggers and an oversized hoodie that smells faintly of lavender detergent. My duffel bag rests by my feet, packed and ready.
- I'm waiting for Ana. She promised she'd come get me this morning, help me navigate back through the territory since I still don't know my way around Anton's pack lands. The antiseptic smell of the hospital room makes my nose itch, and I'm more than ready to leave this sterile white space behind.
- The door opens without a knock.
