Chapter 12 Twelve
- It’s been a few days since Anton confronted me for calling my Alpha, and I haven’t seen him since. A part of me is relieved—every time he’s near, it feels like I can’t breathe. But he’s done something unexpected.
- Every day, Dan comes to me with updates on the search for my mother. The information is never good, but at least I know they’re looking. I know Anton is the one behind it. Maybe it’s his way of making up for everything, but it’s not enough. Not even close. I still don’t want to see his face.
- I’m in the kitchen making breakfast when Ana walks in, her blonde hair tousled from sleep. She wears a cozy gray sweater and fitted jeans, her expression warm as she takes a seat at the kitchen counter.
