Chapter 64

  • As Clyde left Morris's house, he couldn't shake off the anger that was boiling inside of him. His mind was racing with thoughts of how Emma had chosen Morris over him and how she didn't even care if he was injured. Instead, she gave Morris all the attention when he wasn't even her mate. His chest felt pricking pains as if he has been stabbed uncountable times. Never for once, did he consider that he would stoop so low to fight over a woman.
  • “This is why I didn't want a fucking mate!” he screamed into the night. He believed they made one weak. Put you in compromised situations such as the one he got in. Worse of all, he was jealous? A feeble emotion Clyde wasn't used to. “What was she talking about?” he blurted out, referring to the threesome. He had to find Emily for clarity.
  • Clyde didn't notice that he was practically taking to flight due to the anger that stirred him. He walked through the woods towards his pack, trying to keep his mind off the pain. His heart was heavy with the weight of betrayal, but he refused to let it get the best of him. As he approached the pack, he could hear the distant howls of the other wolves. That was unusual.
