Chapter 60
- Emma and Clyde were taken into custody again, this time, both were placed in adjacent cells. Emma couldn't believe she was going through all this. It felt like she was a hamster running on a wheel. She had dedicated her entire career to bringing criminals to justice, and now she found herself on the other side of the bars.
- As she sat on the hard cot, nursing her aching heart and trying to make sense of the situation, she heard a commotion outside. Shouts and screams echoed through the corridors, and she could hear the sound of shattering glass.
- Initially, she ignored it as well as whatever Clyde was saying. It was normal for the station to witness such chaos from criminals trying to get arrested once in a while. Also, she didn't want to hear a word from Clyde. Instead, she focused her thoughts on Morris. Thinking about what they would've been doing if they were together.
