Chapter 114
- SPECIAL CHAPTER: SARAH’S POV
- The hallway was noisy, kids brushing past with their bags and half-finished conversations, but I kept my eyes fixed on the floor, not wanting to catch anyone’s attention. I walked with purpose, even though my mind was racing. I could still hear those girls’ voices from class, echoing in my head, the ones who couldn’t stop talking about Ciara like she was some goddess fallen to earth. Even when she wasn’t in the room, she managed to pull the air out of it.
- I didn’t want to think about her. I was tired of thinking about her. Today was supposed to be about me, about Ronan, about our bond and everything I’d been waiting for. I kept reminding myself of that, the same way I’d reminded myself all morning. It was just, when I saw him with Ewan, something knotted tight in my chest.
