Chapter 24

  • THE RED-HAIRED WITCHES COVEN
  • The door to the inner chamber of the white witch opened slowly and two little kids peeped into the room. "Not again, Kira and Kiran!!" A woman in her early forty shouted from the inner chamber. The little children ran off giggling as usual. It had been their routine to peep at her. They had always admired her beautiful white hair. Although she wasn't a member of the red-haired witches and was found half-dead some years ago. Every member of the coven loved and cherished her. Not just because she was beautiful, but because she was a kind-hearted woman and has helped made the coven stronger and safe from the hand of Rose.
  • She dropped her knitting bag and stood up from the bed. It's been so many years since she was saved and brought to the red-haired witches' coven. She had been treated well with love. If not for her hair color which had made her different from them, it was difficult to know she wasn't a member. She touched the flowers arranged neatly in the vase beside the table. She loved it here, she loved the children, the cool environment. She loved the way people relate to each other. She walked closer to the window and stared at the garden a few meters away. This had been her usual spot in the mornings. The blossom of the morning glory flowers is a sight to behold.  She gave a half-hearted smile that faded quickly into sadness. Though she loved it here, a part of her still felt missing. She knew she doesn't belong here. But where she belonged to, she doesn't know. There was a faraway look in her eyes as her mind drifted away slowly. Why can't she remember who she was or where she came from?. Why was it taking so long to get her memories back?. "Emma" someone called interrupting her thoughts.
