Chapter 19 Scarlett Village
- Glenda sat alone in the dining room. Her fingers curled into a tightened fist. Anger radiated off her like heat from the sun. She sat there, wordless—well, seeing as there was no one to talk to, she had to keep her lips sealed.
- A few minutes later, Chase returned, in the company of Dali. He had taken his precious time to be able to master the look of remorse and regret on his face as he returned to the table. He felt much better, the sudden headache gone. Everything disappeared.
- He sat down, and the first thing he did was apologize. “Apologies for my sudden exit.”
