Chapter 15 Narcissism is a Disease, Treat it!

  • Clever and relaxed, Lan Muwei sat down at the table with a smile. As the waiter began placing one dish after the other on the table, Feng Shihan—who was planning to leave at first—sat back down for the very first time.
  • “Han, weren’t you about to leave?” There was a crafty glint in Mrs. Smith’s eyes.
  • Feng Shihan glared at Lan Muwei, but the latter was too focused on the food to even notice. She duly picked up her chopsticks and dug in, spout praises all the while. “Mrs. Smith, this is really good.” As a foodie, she was always observant of her food and had tasted her fair share of tasty morsels. the dishes here were indeed not bad.
  • A sudden thought drifted into Feng Shihan’s mind—change the chef at home.
  • The two ladies chatted in great delight, almost forgetting the time as they did so. Feng Shihan didn’t leave, but Mrs. Smith noticed the discontent in his eyes.
  • The lady smiled. This was the first time she had actually seen Feng Shihan in such a state.
  • “Wanwan, I’m leaving first.”
  • Lan Muwei waved goodbye in a natural manner, and watched Mrs. Smith’s receding figure with an expression of reluctance.
  • Feng Shihan dragged her away by the wrist and set out on their way back to the villa.
  • “Feng Shihan, what are you doing?!” Lan Muwei looked down at the red mark on her hands and couldn’t help but raise her voice.
  • Feng Shihan was just about to speak when a different voice came through. “Wanwan, what’s wrong?” Grandma Feng arrived under the support of Butler Chen.
  • Taking a deep breath, Lan Muwei moved closer to Feng Shihan with a smile. She then clung onto his thick arms intimately and tried to drag him forward, but the man remained rooted in place.
  • Having no other choice, all she could do was wait for Grandma Feng to arrive. The old lady raised her cane immediately upon arrival, but Lan Muwei deftly stepped in to stop her.
  • Feng Shihan was Grandma Feng’s grandson, and grandmas always loved their grandsons the most—there was no way she would beat her treasured grandson just for Lan Muwei. Grandma Feng was immediately full of smiles.
  • Noticing the expected development, Lan Muwei spoke in a pleasant voice, “Grandma, you’ve misunderstood, I was just messing around with Feng… hubby.”
  • Grandma Feng glared angrily at Feng Shihan before putting down her cane. She then grabbed Lan Muwei’s hands gently and looked at her with loving eyes. “Wanwan, this grandson of mine has a bad temper, do forgive him if he does make some mistakes.”
  • Feng Shihan kept up a stern expression, but the displeasure in his heart had dissolved somewhat.
  • Lan Muwei nodded with a smile. She could only agree since Grandma Feng had spoken thus. Besides, the old lady treated her quite well, so it was fine to ignore these minor problems.
  • Grandma Feng sat down on the sofa. “Now that’s how it should be. Wanwan, there are times when even one’s own teeth can hurt one’s tongue, not to mention two people of different characters. Grandma is still waiting for a grandson.”
  • Lan Muwei: “...”
  • She could only respond with a smile.
  • After dinner, Lan Muwei walked into the bedroom. She swallowed hard and took deep breaths when she saw Feng Shihan walking in half-naked. He looked thin when dressed, but he was actually quite muscular.
  • He possessed healthy skin, a standard six-pack, and perfect facial features from the side.
  • He walked in step by step, as straight as a pine and as noble as a god. Lan Muwei was somewhat dazed at the sight and had to shake her head hard to bring herself back to reality.
  • “Have you seen enough?” Feng Shihan admonished. “Stop having any designs on me. If you play any tricks like last time, I’ll toss you out immediately.”
  • Lan Muwei took a step back, pouting and folding her arms. “Hubby, I admit that your body and facial features are quite good, but I have no interest in you. Narcissism is a disease, get some help!”
  • With that, she laid down her bedding on the ground and buried herself in the sheets with her back against Feng Shihan.
  • She wanted to rest early since tomorrow was her first day at work. She wanted to be at full capacity.
  • Feng Shihan’s cold figure gradually approached and dragged Lan Muwei up. The latter attacked subconsciously, launching a sudden kick at Feng Shihan’s abdomen.
  • The abdomen was the weakest part of the body.
  • Caught off-guard, Feng Shihan let out a muffled grunt. He duly pressed her leg down and slapped down at her butt.
  • Her little face turned red all of a sudden.
  • Feeling both angry and embarrassed, she did all she could to break free. A look of surprise flickered through Feng Shihan’s eyes because each of Lan Muwei’s moves were quite good.
  • It was just that her physical attributes were quite lousy.
  • Everytime she struggled free, she would be pressed back down by Feng Shihan. After several suppressions, she decided to accept her fate and stop trying to break away. Feng Shihan was too strong for her to handle.
  • The alarm rang at dawn the next day.
  • Lan Muwei flipped out of her bed and quickly got changed. She then got into the Lamborghini parked just outside the door, much to the ire of Feng Shihan.
  • “Get off,” Feng Shihan’s frosty voice echoed slowly.
  • A crafty look appeared on Lan Muwei’s face as she said coquettishly, “Hubby, we’re both going to the same place, why not take me there.”
  • Feng Shihan said through clenched teeth. “I can take you alright, but I’ll send you to meet the reaper.”
  • He hadn’t even finished speaking when a hand reached out to grab Lan Muwei’s wrist.
  • “Stop stop stop, I’ll get off. No need to be so rough, I like it when you’re gentle.” Lan Muwei blinked hard, showing off her beautiful lashes.
  • Feng Shihan let go of her and said impatiently, “Hurry, you’re wasting my time.”
  • Lan Muwei glanced at the clock. She would surely be late if she were to call for a cab, and it was her first day! An idea struck her at this point—she held onto her tummy and started crying out.
  • “Hubby, I’m having a stomachache, please send me to the company, I need to use the toilet.”
  • Feng Shihan shot her a sideways glance. “There’s a toilet at home.”
  • “I’ll be late, can you bear to see that happen?” Lan Muwei did her best to act coquettishly, probably more so than she had done her entire past life.
  • Under Lan Muwei’s surprised gaze, a helpless-looking Feng Shihan eventually got into the car. She had thought it would be a long, uphill battle. Who would’ve thought he’d be that easy to persuade?
  • She squeezed herself into a corner of the car, intentionally leaving much space for Feng Shihan.
  • They soon arrived at the Feng Corporation.
  • Lan Muwei walked in slowly, and followed the staff at the front desk to the design department. Only then did she realize why Fu Chen had suffered repeated setbacks.
  • The difference between the two men wasn’t trivial.
  • Design Department.
  • The serious Chief Wu made arrangements for Lan Muwei’s seat and handed her some documents, then left before she could even say anything.
  • Lan Muwei put down her bag, cleaned the table and opened up the computer. She proceeded to acquaint herself with the software inside and started going through the documents. It was at this point that a familiar voice rang out. “Wanwan, it’s great that you’re here in the design department. I’m so happy.”
  • As Lin Yayu approached intimately, a nearby colleague asked, “Are you familiar with Yayu?”
  • Lan Muwei smiled coldly, realizing why Chief Wu had been avoiding her. It would seem the culprit was right in front.
