• The drive back was suffocatingly silent. Arthur felt a heavy weight on his shoulders and chest as he stared out the window. He couldn't stop blaming himself for what had happened to Elara's father. His mind went back to the time when he had picked up an unconscious Elara from the roadside and taken her home. He recalled how she had pleaded with him to help her father, but he hadn't listened.
