• Elara waited for Arthur’s return with bated breath. She had gathered the kids in the living room and they were now together, waiting for Arthur’s return. She had told the kids a very basic story, that their father had gone to deal with a very bad man and that he might come back alive. But they must pray that he comes back alive and safe and sound.
• “Is the bad man Uncle Harden?” Kendra asked as she looked at her mother with wide, innocent eyes.
• “Yes, how did you know?” Elara asked her daughter as she took the young child into her arms.
