Chapter 143

• I took my attention from Tyler as I focused on the man before me. I don't need my concentration taken away because this was my only chance. Unless I defeated Christian, I couldn't get Tyler nor have him reveal Aubrey's location to me.
• I squared up to him, our breath mixing in the cold air. My muscles tensed, every fiber of my being focused on the man across from me. He surged forward, his fists clenched, and I met him with a quick sidestep. I felt his shoulder brush against mine, a contact that sent pain shooting through my already exhausted limbs but I ignored it as I bounced back to my feet and punched him.
• We circled each other, eyes locked. His movements were unpredictable, a flurry of swings and jabs that kept me on constant alert. I ducked under one of his wild punches, but it managed to land on the side of my face, bloodying even further.
