Chapter 61 Pretence

As they stood in front of the grand boutique, Michael glanced around, unsure of what was happening. Before he could ask, Marianne grabbed his hand, her excitement contagious as she led him inside.
"We're here to get you some new clothes. I'll make you a self-made idol!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement. Michael was speechless, overwhelmed by the gesture. It was something his own family had never done for him, and the gratitude he felt left him momentarily stunned.
Inside the boutique, Marianne began selecting clothes happily. Michael stood still, marveling at how well she seemed to know his taste.
