Chapter 15 Irrational Behavior

• Unable to sleep, Alexander found himself on the phone with Jake, who casually mentioned that he had seen Marianne. The mere sound of her name brought a smile to Alexander's face, filling him with a rush of emotions he hadn't felt in years. It was as if he had fallen in love all over again, consumed by feelings he had once taken for granted. Now, they were unmistakable-he was deeply in love with her, more than ever before.
• "So, do you really think you can win her back?" Jake's voice cut through the line, teasingly.
• "I won't know unless I try," Alexander replied, sounding almost like a lovesick teenager seeking advice. "But the problem is, I told her I'd stay out of her sight for a few days. How am I supposed to do that when I can't stop thinking about her?"
