Chapter 17 Stay With Me

• After calling Jake to come over, Alexander changed into warmer clothes and crawled into bed, shivering uncontrollably. The cold was overwhelming, and he felt unsure of how to ease it. In an attempt to warm up, he headed to the bathroom for a hot bath, something that usually provided some comfort. He soaked for nearly thirty minutes before stepping out and returning to his room.
• Just as Alexander settled in, Jake entered, carrying several packages.
• "I brought you some medication," Jake said, helping Alexander back into bed. He then went to fetch hot water, hoping it would help relieve Alexander’s chills.
