Chapter 44 "You're My Dad, And I Am Your Son"
- Michael had returned from practice a few hours ago, and for the first time in years, the house was empty and quiet. It felt peaceful, a rare and welcome change from the constant arguments and fights that usually filled the space. He didn’t care where everyone had gone, as long as he had the house to himself. The silence brought him a sense of relief.
- He got up from his bed and walked over to his wardrobe, pulling out the guitar Dylan had given him. As soon as he held it, memories of what had happened at Dylan’s place flooded his mind, causing him to freeze. His heart began to race just thinking about how close they had been.
- "Why did he do that? Did he know how shocked I was?" Michael whispered, setting the guitar down and standing up abruptly.
