• "I think you're a bit confused," says Jarl, looking at him intently. Something in his eyes frightens Mauricio. Jarl's eyes turn from a light brown to orange, and his voice becomes deeper. "I didn't ask you if you agreed or not."
• "What are you talking about, Jarl? Have you lost your mind? You are the president of Sofisthy, but I am the owner. I am the one who decides what is done and what is not."
• "You're not understanding anything, father-in-law," Jarl responds, impatiently tapping his fingers on the polished desk. "I don't need your permission for anything because you are not the owner of anything at all."
