Chapter 106 Seeking Punishment

• Ragnar gazes at Anabella's tombstone and sighs deeply. That smell, so characteristic of lilies, envelops him in a gust that seems to come out of nowhere. He closes his eyes and imagines her, just as he used to when she was alive. He can still feel her delicate hands cradling his face before softly blowing on his forehead a couple of times, claiming that it was enough to rid his mind of those dark thoughts that tormented him. Of course, it was; she was the cure to all his pain back then.
• A smile creeps onto his face as he remembers her. It's been a long time, but there are occasions when he can't help but miss her. He still feels something for her, but it's no longer love; it's a feeling very similar to unconditional fondness.
