Chapter 9 A Little Attention

Eric clicked his tongue in frustration. "What a careless fool!" he muttered as he grabbed Alexa’s right wrist, examining the red burn mark that had formed there. "Can't you be more careful?"
Alexa’s lips, which were about to speak, closed tight due to the fiery glare in Eric's eyes. She simply submitted as he guided her to a nearby chair.
“Wait here!” Eric commanded sharply, his tone making it clear he didn’t want to hear any objections.
