• "I want you to stay home at all times while I’m gone. If you dare disobey, I won’t hesitate to punish you. Or I might just collect that favor right away," Eric whispered directly into Alexa’s ear.
• Alexa shivered, feeling Eric’s warm breath brush against the nape of her neck. Yet, she dismissed his threats as if they were nothing more than passing wind.
